adidas have revealed the Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup 26, the TRIONDA – kicking off the countdown to the biggest-ever World Cup in history.

TRIONDA is a celebration of the nations that will host the tournament: Canada, Mexico and the USA. The design uses a new four-panel construction, with fluid patterns reflecting the waves in the ball’s name.

Each panel features the host countries’ colors of red, blue, and green, forming a triangle at the centre to represent the nations coming together as World Cup hosts.

National icons are also highlighted across the design, including a star for the USA, a maple leaf for Canada, and an eagle for Mexico. These appear as bold graphics on the panels and are subtly embossed onto the matte base also. With gold detailing paying tribute to the FIFA World Cup trophy itself.

Performance features are built into the design, with deep seams, debossed lines, and embossed icons that optimise in-flight stability. The textures also improve grip in wet conditions, enhancing control during dribbling and striking.

TRIONDA incorporates adidas Connected Ball Technology, the system tracks ball movement in real time, providing data to VAR. Combined with player position and AI, it helps speed up offside calls and identify individual touches, including handball instances.
